Abstract:
Benjamin Morris, a career veteran of the United States Army, talks about his service during the Vietnam War, the conflict in Grenada, and the Persian Gulf war. Morris shares his experiences during the Vietnam War and discusses experiencing a reduction of forces at the end of the Vietnam War. He reflects on his various military assignments in the United States, South America, and in Grenada. Morris discusses his promotion to Company Commander of Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division and their deployment to Grenada, the capture of General Hudson Austin, his interactions with locals in Grenada, and the NBC News coverage of operations in Grenada. Morris also explains how military operations changed in the aftermath of Grenada and his work with the United States Special Forces.
